About this section: Security

This section is about staying safe in crypto: hacks and exploits, phishing and scam campaigns, wallet vulnerabilities, law-enforcement seizures and the security practices that actually protect funds. We report confirmed facts from official incident reports, security researchers and authorities, and link to the original sources.

Our aim is practical protection. Each incident story explains how the attack worked in plain language and what readers can do to avoid similar losses. Our guides cover recovery phrases, hardware wallets, token approvals and how to recognise impersonation scams. CryptoGroup will never ask for your keys, passwords or recovery phrase, and anyone who does is a scammer.

How this page works: the newest Security story is shown first, followed by every earlier article in this section in date order, with guides and explainers mixed in alongside news. Each article shows its publish date and, when we revise it, the date of the last update. Spotted an error? Our editorial and corrections policy explains how we fix mistakes.
