Grayscale Zcash ETF draws $41.1M, its best week since Sept.

Investors put $41.1 million into Grayscale's Zcash ETF last week, the fund's best week since mid-September, BeInCrypto reports based on SoSoValue data. The inflows came while bitcoin funds lost more than half a billion dollars in two days and ether funds bled for another week.
The week in numbers
- Monday: $10.4 million left the fund.
- Tuesday to Friday: four straight days of inflows, including $20.5 million on Friday alone.
- Week: +$41.1 million, recovering nearly 29% of the $143 million that flowed out over the previous three weeks.
- For comparison: US spot bitcoin ETFs ended the week $301.2 million positive thanks to early buying, while ether ETFs lost $220.7 million. We broke those numbers down in bitcoin ETFs' $301M week.
Flow data shows that money came back, not why. Zcash's pitch is optional privacy: users can send shielded transactions that hide the sender, receiver and amount, and developers are already working on keeping swaps private against future quantum computers, as in Zakura's one-key-per-swap plan.
Where ZEC trades
ZEC bounced after falling to $1,118 last week, and BeInCrypto describes $1,200 as the immediate test. Analysts are split. One trader on X is watching for a daily close above $1,223, which could produce a short-term moving-average crossover around 28 October. Another, Whale Factor, sees ZEC in a falling channel and points to $597 as a major historical level. These are individual chart readings, not forecasts.
Why one good week may not settle it
September is a warning. The fund took in $98.2 million in a single week then, and three weeks of withdrawals followed while ZEC fell back from a peak near $1,690. The next flow reports and the Federal Reserve's 27–28 October meeting, previewed in our crypto week ahead, are the next signals to watch.
