US spot bitcoin ETFs finished the week with about $301 million of net inflows, ending a two-week losing streak, but two straight days of withdrawals kept October in the red, Decrypt reports citing its ETF tracker. Bitcoin traded near $80,490 on Saturday, down 1.1% over 24 hours.
The week in flows
- Monday–Wednesday: about $1.07 billion came in, briefly turning October positive.
- Thursday: $635.6 million went out, the biggest daily outflow this month, as we covered in our report on the $635M exit.
- Friday: another $137.9 million left, bringing the two-day total to about $773.5 million.
- Week: roughly +$301 million. October so far: about −$314 million.
Since launching in January 2024, the funds have drawn $57.6 billion in cumulative net inflows and hold $100.2 billion in net assets.
Ether and Solana funds
Ether ETFs took in a small $4.4 million on Friday but lost about $221 million on the week, leaving them roughly $1.18 billion down for October, a trend we tracked in ether ETFs' $1 billion October outflows. Solana ETFs had no net flows on Friday after shedding $8.9 million on Thursday and are down about $68 million this month.
Prices
According to CoinGecko data cited by Decrypt, bitcoin was down 1.2% on the week. Ether fell 2.6% in a day to about $2,344 and Solana 2.8% to about $101, while total crypto market value slipped 1.2% to $2.79 trillion. The weakness follows a midweek sell-off in global markets as oil rose above $111 a barrel and AI stocks fell. The snapshot above shows prices at our last build.
What traders are pricing
On Myriad, a prediction market run by Decrypt's parent company, traders gave a 43% chance that bitcoin drops to $77,500 before the end of October, up from 32% a day earlier, and 18% for a fall to $75,000. The odds of a move above $87,500 fell to 10% from 17%. These are market bets, not forecasts.
